TJ Redington
Now the CEO of The Redington Group, in earlier work as Medical Director of the Clinically Integrated Network (CIN) for the Christ Hospital, TJ Redington led the effort of achieving cost savings, improving clinical quality, and maintaining patient satisfaction. His team achieved the best record in the US for a CIN, saving more than 40 million dollars in a seven-year time frame, while providing for distributions to the provider staff in every year of its operation. For his entire career, he has led population health, and clinical transformation to save money and improve outcomes. He was the first Medical Director of the Ohio Medicaid program and served in this role for a decade, providing clinical leadership for population health and value improvement for 2.5 million lives annually. He also served as Medical Director of the Cincinnati Health Network and installed chronic illness programs, saving tens of millions of dollars annually, primarily by reducing avoidable hospitalization for the impoverished and uninsured of Hamilton County, Ohio. He led the nation’s largest effort around care redesign for patients with chronic illness, leading residents at Children’s Hospital, Christ and the University of Cincinnati to implement these approaches in their training and their institutions. Recognized locally, regionally, and nationally for improving the health of populations, he was a Professor of Internal Medicine at the University of Cincinnati.
